Your Bio

My name is Mike Reid and I live in Boise Idaho with my wife and two children.

Idaho is a great state for photography. The beauty of nature seems to be everywhere.
I took up photography as a hobby a few years ago and quickly grew to love it. I started this site as a way to share some of the beauty of Idaho with folks who maybe are not fortunate enough to live in such a scenic area.

My business name is All Outdoors Photography and I enjoy photographing anything outdoors in natural light. My main interests currently are birds and landscapes.

Breanna and Max at the Idaho Botanical Garden's wedding in Boise : What an amazing couple, Breanna is a real treasure. Max you are a lucky guy, and you deserve someone like Breanna, you are a real gentleman. Needless to say the wedding was amazing. Everyone had a great time. The bridal party was so much fun, we ran a little short on time for pictures but everyone stayed cool and they were so easy to work with we got it all done. Thanks to everyone for your patience and for making it so easy. Breanna you are so funny, I hope you won't mind me sharing the last thing you said to me at your wedding "Just tell me the truth, I can't go on my honeymoon without knowing if we got good pictures!!" Well I told you then that you did and I hope you will agree. I love how these came out. The truth is that real beauty comes through the lens no matter who is shooting the pictures, so I already knew that they would be great even before I looked at them.. Another one of those weddings where you just take the pictures of what is going on, how hard can it be to get good pictures of such an amazing couple. Nichole and Joey's wedding at the Wood River Cellar in Eagle. : Joey and Nichole, what an awesome wedding. Now these guys know how to throw a party. The reception was so much fun. DJ One One was rocking the tent, he is so funny and he really knows how to throw a party. The dance floor was full all night. Nichole looked like a fairy princess on her wedding day. She was so happy and excited, easy for all to see. Nichole and her ladies made such a fun day of it, they were dancing and laughing and having a great time all day. Joey and his guys were doing guy stuff, messing around and having a couple beers. Really I don't know how the day could have gone any better. The energy and excitement from the bride and groom was contagious and everyone at the wedding had such a co-operative fun spirit it made it so easy to join in and take the pictures. I hope you guys love your pictures, I had the best time taking them for you. Best of luck to you two in your life together, I know you will be great! Alyssa and Paden's wedding at The Bishop's House in Boise. : What a great place for a wedding. The Bishop's House in Boise is an amazing venue for a summer wedding. Lots of good strong shade, lots of room inside for guests and such a great looking venue. All that's needed is to add an awesome looking bride and groom and all the ingredients are there for some really fun wedding pictures. Alyssa looked amazing in her beautiful dress, and her personality and excitement for the day was radiating for all to see. We had a great time with her and her girls doing all the getting ready shots. The wedding party was so much fun doing the kissing and jump shots, lots of enthusiasm on display. The day was perfect as they had a 75 degree day in August, what are the odds? Alyssa I hope you and Paden enjoy your photos, and I wish you two the best of luck in your lives together! Andrea and Eric's wedding at the Ustick Baptist Church and River Rock Ranch : What a beautiful summer day. Andrea looked amazing and radiant in her beautiful dress and Eric was kind of subdued and anxious to finally be married. Had a great time with Andrea and her girls getting the dressing shots. What a fun group of genuinely friendly fun ladies. The little guys were so much fun they kept cracking up Eric and the guys, so their picture session was a breeze. Andrea is such a happy person and her inner beauty really comes through in the photos, one of my favorite brides to photograph this season, all that enthusiasm is contagious. After the wedding we were off to River Rock Ranch. A very nice venue, gorgeous with the pond and all the flowers. The reception was large affair with quite a large crowd of friends and family gathered for the party. The DJ and the venue host were a joy to work with and everything went smooth and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Andrea and Eric, thanks so much for having us along and I know you two will be great together. I hope you enjoy your pictures! Andrea and Eric, talk about a couple that was meant to be together. These two are so at ease with each other they were a joy to photograph. There was no nervous phase, we got right to the good stuff!. Andrea has an amazing personality and Eric was such a good sport the photo shoot was really a lot of fun. As you can see Andrea is very photogenic so my job was very easy, what a great looking couple. If the wedding is half as much fun as the engagement shoot, it is going to be an event to remember! Katie and Trevor's wedding at The Secret Place in Nampa : What a fun couple these two are. Trevor has so much patience and a great sense of humor and Katie is just so much fun. We had a great time at The Secret Place in Nampa. It was a great fall day, weather was perfect and everyone was having fun. I knew when we shot the engagement session months ago that these two were one of those couples that is just so obviously meant to be together and it was even more apparent at the wedding. Jenny and Victor's wedding in the Little White Church at BSU : Beautiful fall day. Peak fall color, and that blue turf. What a great combination and Jenny and Victor were really enjoying each other having a great time. Jenny had access to the field right by the Little White Church at BSU and they are big fans so what the heck... we did a few shots on the field and tossed the ball around a bit. Cassidy & Ron's wedding at The Secret Place in Nampa. : What a beautiful day Cassidy and Ron had for their wedding. One of my favorite weddings ever. Such friendly people and everyone was having such a great time. An amazingly pretty venue and the skies were great that day. I first photographed these guys last year and I know they are glad to be married at last....it was nice to see them having such a great time with their friends and family. Katherine and Ryan's wedding at the Banbury Golf Course Eagle : What a day we all had at the Banbury Golf Club in Eagle. Started off hot and sunny then the clouds rolled in and the light for the day was amazing for pictures. Everything went smooth after a late start and we had a good time dodging golfers to get in all the shots for the group. It was a lot of fun and the pictures came out great. With a bride as photogenic as Kathryn how hard can it be right?? The ceremony went off nicely and Kathryn and Ryan were very happy to finally be married. The reception was a lot of fun with some surprise singing guests and some nice dancing to top off the night. The rain even went to the North and missed us. All in all a very nice day and Kathryn and Ryan are off on their honeymoon. Hope you enjoy your pictures and thanks for including us in your day!!

Ranee and Sean's wedding at the CW Moore Plaza in Boise. : Ranee and Shawn had a beautiful wedding in the park at the CW Moore Plaza in front of their friends and family. It was a beautiful September day, weather was perfect. After a late start we got busy with the picture taking and every thing went smoothly. The wedding went off without a hitch and off to the party in the Penthouse of the CW Moore building. The Penthouse was decorated beautifully by Bliss events and everyone had an excellent time. The view from the rooftop was amazing as the sun was setting. I hope you two really enjoy your pictures and we wish you the best of luck in your lives together. Thanks again for inviting us to share your day with you! Engagement Ranee and Sean, what can I say..this was right up there with one of my favorite shoots ever. First of all Ranee and Shawn were so much fun, and they had such a great time together during the shoot I just had to click the shutter. On top of that just look at these guys...what a great looking couple. We just had a great time and it shows in the pictures...what's work about that! Then the setting was amazing, we got to play around on all that great machinery..including the honey dipper..nice job on the Price is Right pose Ranee. Then as the sun started to set we headed up to the hills for some sunset shots. It was so beautiful up there. I had them climbing around on the rocks and rolling around on the ground....if you think taking pictures means you just sit there and say cheese...you have never shot with me lol!! Seth and Elizabeth's wedding photos at a private residence in Meridian Idaho. (bridal and engagement photos below wedding photos) : Wow, what an attractive couple. What a crazy weather day for a wedding, but the rain held off till right at the end. The ceremony was at a beautiful residence complete with it's own water fall. Seth and Elizabeth are very happy to be married and I wish you two the best of luck in your future together. Hope you love your wedding pictures! Seth is about 6'5" and Elizabeth was about 6'1" in her heels and they were up to try anything. Seth is a great sport and Elizabeth...what great personality, she loves to laugh. Alex and Sharon's wedding pictures at the Hilton in Eagle and the LDS Temple in Boise : Last weekend Alex and Sharon were sealed in the LDS Temple in Boise. Cold, cloudy, windy day with a bit of snow which gave us some pretty dramatic skies for the pictures. Everything went smoothly and as usual we had lots of fun getting the pictures. This is the last installment in the wedding process for these two, we were with them all the way from their engagement pictures. I will miss seeing them and taking their pictures... I wish them the best of luck in the future. Hopy you guys love your temple pictures! Alex and Sharon enjoyed a beautiful wedding at the Hilton in Eagle. It was a beautiful winter day with lots of sunshine. Sharon's heritage is Hawaiian so they incorporated some of the culture into their ceremony with beautiful flowers and lei's shipped in from Hawaii for the event. There were Hawaiian dancers and it was a lot of fun for everyone. Alex and Sharon were very happy to finally be married and I am sure they will have a great life together. Congratulations to the two of them and I hope they love their pictures!! We had a great evening in the park with Alex and Sharon. The day was perfect and the fall color was just right. We had a good time and it shows in the pictures. Alex was very patient and Sharon is a great poser, her emotions really show in her face which makes my job easy!! Looking forward to the wedding! Kris and Christina's wedding at the Wild Rose Manor in Caldwell. : Christina looked beautiful on her wedding day. She was very excited to be finally married to Kris. A blazing 105 degree day with plenty of sun. Everyone was wilting a bit in the heat but they did not let it stop their fun. The wedding went smoothly and off to the reception. A great dinner and lots of dancing in the shade. Kris was so funny breaking out all his dance moves. Kris and Christina were having a lot of fun with each other and their friends, and generally had a great time. I hope your two enjoy your photos and thanks so much for having us along for the ride! Jessica's Trash the Dress Boise River : Jessica decided that for her 10 year anniversary she'd pull her dress out of the closet and give it one more go. Savannah dancing in Kathryn Albertson's Park in Boise. : I have been wanting to do some dance shots for some time now but I had a hard time finding the right dancer. That is until I met Savannah. She is a local dance instructor and cheerleader. She was so graceful and what a pleasure to work with. I knew from the first jump she was perfect for the shoot. Laura's portrait shoot at Kathryn Albertson's Park : Laura is such a pretty girl my job was easy. Just put her in front of the camera and shoot is about all I had to do. Back at Kathryn Albertsons Park. There are so many places to shoot down there. It was a windy day but no problem down there in the park with all the wind breaks. Laura was there with her brother and they were joking around with each other and we just had a great time the entire shoot. It shows in the pictures. Thanks Laura, we will have to get out again in the fall and shoot the park when the fall color is peaking. Hope you love your pictures.

Tara by the Old Prison in Boise : What a great shoot we had last weekend buy the Old Prison out on Warm Springs. The day started off pretty nice and just got colder and colder, by the time we finished it was snowing. Tara is a beautiful classy lady who is a real trooper. We had a lot of fun messing around in the old buildings and at the rock garden. Even though she was freezing she turned out some great poses and we had some laughs. Jackie in downtown Boise. : I first shot Jackie when she was a 17 year old high school senior. Now she is a 20 year old woman and we wanted to shoot her with an edgier style. I think the photos we ended up with were exactly what I was hoping to get for her. We had a great time scouring the alleys of Boise for photo locations. Jackie was kind of freezing but she was real trooper. My job was easy because Jackie is a natural in the front of the camera. As you can see the camera loves her so all I really had to do was just not screw it up lol. Thanks for coming out with me for the shoot Jackie and I hope you love your pictures!!

Jessica at an old Church in Boise : Had a great afternoon shooting with Jessica. We found an old Church that has fallen into disrepair but was great for pictures. It has an amazing amount of little nooks and crannys. Jessica did a great job right from the start...like she had been posing for the camera all her life. Michelle and Jared's family pictures at Kathryn Albertson's Park : What a great looking family. The girls were real troopers as we did not win the weather lottery on this day. The wind had a real bite to it and it was pretty cold. Everyone hung in there long enough to get some really nice pictures. We even had a chance to thrown in a bit of fun!! Catarafting the North Fork with Shelly Becker : Shelly Becker is the first......and second woman ever to cataraft the North Fork of the Payette in Idaho near Banks top to bottom of the 15 mile stretch considered by many to one of the most challenging stretches of whitewater in the states. She was the first woman to ever run it last year and so many people told her "anybody can run it once," that she went back this year to do a "PROVE IT!!" run. I was lucky enough to photograph her first decent last year and this time I followed her all the way from the top. Shelly is the real deal!!

Alyssa and Paden's wedding at The Bishop's House in Boise. : What a great place for a wedding. The Bishop's House in Boise is an amazing venue for a summer wedding. Lots of good strong shade, lots of room inside for guests and such a great looking venue. All that's needed is to add an awesome looking bride and groom and all the ingredients are there for some really fun wedding pictures. Alyssa looked amazing in her beautiful dress, and her personality and excitement for the day was radiating for all to see. We had a great time with her and her girls doing all the getting ready shots. The wedding party was so much fun doing the kissing and jump shots, lots of enthusiasm on display. The day was perfect as they had a 75 degree day in August, what are the odds? Alyssa I hope you and Paden enjoy your photos, and I wish you two the best of luck in your lives together! Breanna and Max at the Idaho Botanical Garden's wedding in Boise : What an amazing couple, Breanna is a real treasure. Max you are a lucky guy, and you deserve someone like Breanna, you are a real gentleman. Needless to say the wedding was amazing. Everyone had a great time. The bridal party was so much fun, we ran a little short on time for pictures but everyone stayed cool and they were so easy to work with we got it all done. Thanks to everyone for your patience and for making it so easy. Breanna you are so funny, I hope you won't mind me sharing the last thing you said to me at your wedding "Just tell me the truth, I can't go on my honeymoon without knowing if we got good pictures!!" Well I told you then that you did and I hope you will agree. I love how these came out. The truth is that real beauty comes through the lens no matter who is shooting the pictures, so I already knew that they would be great even before I looked at them.. Another one of those weddings where you just take the pictures of what is going on, how hard can it be to get good pictures of such an amazing couple. Cassidy & Ron's wedding at The Secret Place in Nampa. : What a beautiful day Cassidy and Ron had for their wedding. One of my favorite weddings ever. Such friendly people and everyone was having such a great time. An amazingly pretty venue and the skies were great that day. I first photographed these guys last year and I know they are glad to be married at last....it was nice to see them having such a great time with their friends and family.
